The Elvis movie Follow That Dream is set in Florida, and on-location filming began in the brutal summer heat of July 1961. The musical film reached number five on Variety box office charts upon its release in April of 1962. Based on the 1959 book Pioneer, Go Home!, the film follows the trials and tribulations of Toby Kwimper (Elvis Presley) and his vagabond family. The soundtrack EP Follow That Dream was released by RCA on May 1, 1962. The soundtrack, with four songs recorded on July 2, 1961, was issued as an extended play record to coincide with the Follow That Dream movie premiere. The soundtrack did well in the charts at the time and achieved gold and platinum status from RIAA simultaneously on March 27, 1992. Offered is the RIAA platinum record award for the 1962 soundtrack EP for Follow That Dream. The plaque reads "Presented to RCA Records To Commemorate the Sale of More Than 1,000,000 Copies of the RCA Records Extended-Play Record 'Follow That Dream.'" A small plaque that says "Platinum Sales Award" is sent onto the single itself. The platinum award measures 17 by 13 inches (43.18 x 33.02 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The award presents with few defects to the frame. Near Mint condition.
