While Elvis performed all over the United States, he performed in only one other country and that was Canada. Elvis made his first and last Canadian appearances in 1957. Elvis’ first Canadian performances were at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 2, 1957. Elvis performed again the next day, April 3, at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Ottawa Auditorium in Ottawa. Elvis was controversial in the US and perhaps even more so in Canada—students of Notre Dame Convent were forbidden to attend his concert and his show in Montreal was cancelled altogether. His last concert in Canada was at the Empire Stadium in Vancouver on August 31, 1957. Despite the concerns from parents and religious leaders, Elvis was adored by our neighbors to the north. In 1978 RCA Released an LP entitled Elvis Presley: A Canadian Tribute. The LP compilation album was released on yellow vinyl and only in Canada. It featured Elvis performing songs by Canadian songwriters and hits from his Canadian tour in 1957. As the title states, a true tribute to his Canadian fans. Offered is an original RCA reel-to-reel of Elvis Presley: A Canadian Tribute that includes the songs and introductions on the LP release from the RCA Recording Studios in Toronto, Canada. The reel-to-reel comes in its original box that measures 7 1/4 by 7 1/4 by 1/2 inch (19.05 x 19.05 x 1.27 cm), with the reel measuring 7 inches (19.78 cm) in diameter. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The box exhibits typical wear and discoloration from age and handling; in excellent condition overall.
