While Elvis spent a significant amount of time in Las Vegas for two engagements and in Tahoe for his debut engagement in 1971, his first tour on the road did not commence until November 5 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this 12-day tour, Elvis played 14 concerts. It was during this tour that Elvis began wearing capes as a permanent part of his jumpsuit ensemble. It was also during this tour that his backup group, the Imperials, was replaced with J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, who would continue as his backup band for the remainder of his touring years. On November 15, 1971, Elvis took the stage at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri wearing his White Pinwheel jumpsuit paired with his lion head belt and a red cape. He wowed an audience of over 10,000 fans and offered is a group of four (4) photos from that 8:30 p.m. evening show along with four (4) ticket stubs from lucky attendees and a souvenir photo album. The images depict Elvis having a great time on stage, with one of him lying on the stage kicking up his leg and another holding open his red cape for the audience to see. It is no wonder the photos have such great content when the tickets were for prime seats in Sec 3, Row H, seats 9, 10, 13 and 14. The photos have handwritten numbers on the reverse, with one that bears the date of 1971 and the notation “Wanda Eberenz” with her address in Overland, Mo. These four photos from that performance each measure 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches (8.89 x 8.89 cm), the ticket stubs each measure 1 1/2 by 1 3/8 inches (3.81 x 3.49 cm), and the souvenir photo album measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm). This timely collection is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The tickets and photos are in excellent condition with few defects. The souvenir folio exhibits surface and edge wear from age and use and is in very good condition overall.
