Elvis Presley’s 31st and final dramatic film, Change of Habit, was a story in which three Catholic nuns are sent to work in an inner-city clinic before taking their final vows. Elvis plays the role of Dr. John Carpenter, who falls for one of the nuns, played by Mary Tyler Moore. This was not only Elvis’ last Hollywood picture role—Mary Tyler Moore had appeared in a number of films after her success on The Dick Van Dyke Show, but her starring role opposite Elvis in Change of Habit would be her last big-screen role for the next decade. In the 1970s, Mary Tyler Moore starred in the television sitcom carrying her name, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which had a very successful seven-year run. Offered is a group of twenty-one (21) black-and-white photos of scenes from Change of Habit issued by Universal Studios. Elvis appears in five of the photos, which all feature Mary Tyler Moore, and typed on the back of several are descriptions of the scene depicted in the image. Under each description is the disclaimer “Printed in U.S.A. Copyright Universal Pictures. Permission granted for newspaper and magazine reproduction only.” Featuring two big stars of the day, the film received no shortage of attention from the media. Each photo measures 10 by 8 inches (25.4 x 20.32 cm) and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
Near mint conditon with some only slightly lesser.
