Elvis returned to Memphis from Hollywood after filming his first movie, Love Me Tender, on September 23, 1956 with his friend Nick Adams in tow. The two boys had some fun celebrating at the Mid-South State Fair at the Memphis Fairgrounds. On September 26, Elvis and Nick drove to the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show where Elvis performed on stage and was welcomed with fanfare fit for the celebrity he was. By Saturday, September 29, Nick and Elvis were back at the Mid-South Fair enjoying the festivities and riding the big boy toys. Elvis took a ride on a motorcycle and in a helicopter that afternoon. Offered is a black-and-white medium-format negative contact sheet with twelve (12) images of Elvis, all but two featuring Elvis in his captain’s hat. He is shown riding a motorcycle in six images and a helicopter in four. Elvis and Nick knew how to have a good time and these images are printed proof of the thrilling afternoon of these two Hollywood heartthrobs. The contact sheet measures 10 by 8 inches (25.4 x 20.32 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The proof sheet is in excellent condition overall with minor wear to the edges and one set of staple holes on the top left edge margin.
