Elvis was making dreams come true for young female fans from the very start of his career, and in 1956 and as his celebrity was on its meteoric rise, an effort was made to bring Elvis, or at the very least his likeness, into to the homes of each and every fan with the launch of a merchandise line. And to answer the calls from fans, publications were all too pleased to oblige as well. Offered is an ideal example of a promotional publication that dually functions as advertising gimmick in this collection of Elvis Answers Back! magazines. Included in this grouping of three (3) is one green-lettered cover version and two pink-lettered cover versions. Each is complete with 78 RPM detachable record, which can be removed and played. The collection includes an “uncut” copy with “The Truth About Me” 78 RPM record still in place, two copies with “Speaks - In Person!” 78 RPM records, with one cut out and one cut out and taped back in place, and finally one loose copy of “The Truth About Me,” which has been tested and is in playable condition. Each copy of the magazine is 32 pages and in it Elvis addresses topics like Criticism, My Special Girl, My Greatest Ambition, My Sideburns, and My True Religion. The questions asked and answered were the ones on every fan’s mind! Each of the three magazines measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm) and the collection is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The magazines present with minor to moderate wear, especially along the bindings, as expected. The records, whether still in the magazine or cut out, present with few defects to the playing surface. Excellent condition overall.
