Colonel Parker called it the “first entertainment special to be broadcast live around the world.” Elvis’ “Aloha from Hawaii” concert was broadcast via satellite on January 14, 1973, from the Honolulu International Center, and it’s believed that over 1 billion fans viewed the concert worldwide. Fans from around the globe watched as the singing phenomenon took the stage and said “Aloha” to the world. The famed concert aired via satellite in over 40 countries in Europe and Asia (airing at a later date in the U.S.) and was the most expensive entertainment special of its time, costing approximately $2.5 million to produce. The double album released by RCA of this celebrated concert contained 30 songs and was an immediate, massive hit, as Elvis sang every song with a passion and energy like only the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll could. Offered are two (2) still-sealed Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite two-record sets. One has the Chicken of the Sea sneak preview sticker, only available to select Chicken of the Sea employees, and Quadradisc sticker (VPSX-6089-2) affixed to the plastic shrink-wrap over the front cover with the gold-toned Saturn-shaped sticker (VPSX-6089-1) affixed to the shrink-wrap on the back cover. The second sticker variation includes the Quadradisc (VPSX-6089-2) and Steamroller Blues (VPSX-6089-3) stickers affixed to the front cover and the blue Saturn-shaped sticker with the song titles and copyright info affixed to the back cover. Two still sealed copies of the album made even more collectible because of the limited release sticker variations. Each album sleeve measures 12 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches (31.75 x 31.75 cm) and the pair are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Both present sealed in their original shrink-wrap, but both do exhibit several splits in the shrink-wrap at the edges. The “Chicken of the Sea” copy has a small ding in the lower right corner. VG+ condition. The “Steamroller Blues” copy exhibits few if any defects. NM condition.
