This large, full-color promotional poster depicting Elvis in a white studded jumpsuit and red macramé belt was used to promote Elvis Presley’s Summer Festival Concert Series at the Las Vegas International Hotel in the early 1970s. The Colonel would often take a poster that was meant for the souvenir stand and embellish it with various snipes to suit a more specific concert or venue. It was a brilliant cost-saving measure: utilize an iconic, yet purposely generic Elvis image that could be printed in large quantities while being employed in a wide variety of settings with the addition of a snipe. This clever display of promotional prowess could be used or sold anywhere Elvis was touring, with this specific style utilized at the Summer Festival in Las Vegas. The “NOW” snipe with a matte finish is on lighter-weight paper attached to the bottom of the poster. The top portion of the poster is the normal souvenir poster typically sold at concerts in 1971 and 1972. A beautiful survivor of the heady early days of Elvis’ Las Vegas Summer Festivals. The poster measures 45 1/2 by 23 inches (115.57 x 58.42 cm), is stored rolled and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Only two small tape stains on the reverse sully this beauty. Near Mint condition.
