Elvis began singing the Paul Anka song “My Way” in January of 1973 during his “Aloha from Hawaii” televised performance. Several weeks after his death in October 1977, Elvis’ live recording of “My Way” was released and achieved a higher position on the Billboard charts than Frank Sinatra’s rendition. The RIAA certified “My Way” gold on January 13, 1978, with the offered award being produced shortly thereafter. The plaque mounted beneath the gold record reads “Presented to ELVIS PRESLEY to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of the RCA RECORDS single record ‘MY WAY’.” Between 1975 and 1988, gold discs were awarded for single unit sales in excess of one million. This framed display features a gold-toned record above the gold-colored plaque, both mounted on a black background. The framed award measures 17 by 13 1/4 inches (43.18 x 33.66 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The award frame has minor scuffing and scratching. Near Mint condition.
