How Great Thou Art was Elvis’ first album not to include any soundtrack songs since the release of his first gospel album in 1960, and his 29th studio album. The tracks were recorded in October 1960 and at RCA Studio B in Nashville in May 1966. The album, released by RCA Victor in February 1967, contained 13 tracks and reached 18 on the Top Pop Album chart and was certified gold by RIAA just a year later in February of 1968. Offered is a framed RIAA Certified Gold Sales Award “Presented to RCA RECORDS to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the RCA RECORDS album and cassette ‘How Great Thou Art’” by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This framed display features a gold-colored record and cassette above a gold-colored plaque with an image of the album cover on the left and an RIAA hologram on the right, all mounted against a black backing with black frame. The album was originally certified in 1968, but the offered award was produced in 1992, based on the style. The framed award measures 21 1/2 by 17 1/2 inches (54.61 x 44.45 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The award has some mild scuffing on the frame and Plexiglas. Excellent to Mint condition.
