“Fool” was the B-side to Elvis Presley's single “Steamroller Blues,” released on March 4, 1973. The offered RCA acetate is dated just days prior, on “2/27/73,” likely indicating that this copy was sent to a radio station for airplay. The label contains information pertinent to radio use, with the artist name, song title, composers' names and the intro length (key for a dj to know how long to ”talk in” a record as it starts. The song was originally recorded on March 28-29, 1972, at RCA Studio C in Hollywood, and was also the first track on the 1973 LP ELVIS. That album was almost titled FOOL, as evidenced by concept artwork offered in a previous Graceland Auction, which showed the word at title size. RCA thought the better of it. The record measures 10 inches (25.4 cm) in diameter and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Condition: VG+ with very minor scuffing. Plays well with some hiss.
