Just as Elvis was at the height of his Hollywood film career in 1965, Eastman Kodak introduced the Super 8 home movie film format. This new version was an improvement over the previous, and in 1973 this format allowed for recorded sound to be included. Technology in this realm advanced at light speed so the offered collection of period Super 8 Elvis movies is an unusual and rare relic. The grouping includes eight (8) Elvis films in color format, full length features on 400' reels: Roustabout, Blue Hawaii, King Creole (black and white), Girls! Girls! Girls!, Fun in Acapulco, G.I. Blues, Paradise, Hawaiian Style (18 minutes, 370 feet, color sound), and Viva Las Vegas (color sound in three parts). The colorful containers, which were the precursor to VHS tapes, each measure 7 1/2 by 7 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches (19.05 x 18.41 x 8.25 cm) with Paradise, Hawaiian Style measuring 8 1/4 by 8 1/4 x 1/2 inch (20.95 x 20.95 x 1.27 cm) and Viva Las Vegas in three containers measuring 8 1/2 by 8 1/4 by 2 1/4 (21.59 x 20.95 x 5.71 cm). Hollywood’s big star of the 1960s appearing in full color with sound in the comfort of each fan’s own home with the latest technology of the day—what could be better? This fantastic grouping is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Each of the Super 8 film boxed sets are in good used condition with some better.
