Elvis was known as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll and as a king he adored wearing rings on his fingers if not bells on his toes and he most certainly had music wherever he went. Elvis enjoyed jewelry of all types and styles and often favored more masculine rings, a category into which the offered sterling silver and green bloodstone ring certainly fits. The good-looking stone is a type of quartz gemstone known for its blood-red inclusions, hence the moniker. The ring, size 7 1/2, is marked “Sterling 925” on the band with the blood stone measuring 13 by 11 mm, and comes with a copy of a three-page letter dated 10/25/88 from Patsy Presley that states in part:

This small, but very significant jewelry box set alongside several larger ones that Elvis had on his dressing table. Although, it might have gone unnoticed by most - this little treasure chest held some things that were much more valuable - for it was brimming over with small treasures of yesterday’s memories gone by - Memories that only Elvis would hold dear. I’ve seen Elvis go through his expensive jewelry, perhaps choosing a favorite ring - he would slide it on his finger and give one of those devilish cunning smiles. He really loved large extravagant pieces of jewelry, the kind he shared, often, with everyone who was fortunate to be there at the right time. Elvis also loved and appreciated the less expensive gifts he received - some from family and friends and others, even from a fan occasionally, that would somehow get mixed in with the personal gifts. Elvis knew that each of these gifts had been choosen [sic] with great pride and much thought and love had gone into the final choice. When Elvis opened his Christmas or Birthday gifts he would make sure that he devoted equal time to each gift - he always felt that it was not the gift, but rather the thought that counted. Elvis was truly a believer in the true meaning of Christmas for everyone - I miss this little chest... I too, have often looked at all the pieces, wondering which ones held the most special memory for Elvis.

This charming green bloodstone ring is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The ring is in excellent condition overall.
