Elvis was passionate about the study of religions and spirituality and read voraciously on the subjects. One of his favorite titles was The Impersonal Life by Joseph Sieber Benner. Not only was it favored by Elvis, but the book was a spiritual staple in the lives of millions. After this first writing, the author penned several more texts in the “I AM” Teaching philosophy, including The Way Out, The Way Beyond, Wealth, and The Teacher. Offered is a copy of the title The Way Out that also includes the three other classics by the American spiritual writer. The Way Out is written in the same compassionate voice as The Impersonal Life and assists the reader to identify their spiritual values so they may achieve an understanding and expression of those in their daily lives in order to prosper from the depths of the soul. The collection of devotional teachings in this book once belonged to Elvis, who gifted this edition to his longtime nurse, Tish Henley. The book comes with a letter from Tish Henley that states in part, “Elvis gave me many of his own personal belonging as gifts while I was working for him and his family. Each of these gifts tell a story in the life of this incredible man. / ITEM: Elvis’ Personal Copy of The Way Out Book / One way for Elvis to relax was to have me read to him. This was Elvis’ copy and he gave it to me one day at Graceland.” The book, measuring 5 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches (14.61 x 10.8 cm), is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
