Elvis had a passion and fascination for cars throughout his life and owned examples of a variety of makes including Cadillac, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, BMW, Stutz, Rolls Royce, trucks for the Circle G Ranch and many more. While he favored Cadillacs and personally owned several and gifted them as well, this was not the only type of vehicle Elvis purchased and owned in his lifetime. He owned more unusual makes such as the Messerschmidt and Stutz as well as common makes such as Ford, Lincoln and Chrysler. Offered is a check, numbered 892, dated “Jan 15, 1964,” signed “E.A. Presley” and written to “Cash.” The handwritten side notation indicates that the funds were to “Replace window in Chrysler” and the reverse has been endorsed by Joe Esposito. Elvis spent time at home in Memphis for his birthday and for much of January and as this check implies, he spent time taking care of business at home. The check measures 3 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches (8.25 x 20.95 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The check presents with expected wear from cancellations and handling, but no major defects. Near Mint condition.
