Elvis’ first road tour in 1975 began on April 24 in Macon, Georgia and culminated with a benefit concert in Jackson, Mississippi for the victims of the McComb tornado followed by two concert dates in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on May 6 and 7. After the first concert of the tour in Georgia, Elvis travels to Florida to perform in Jacksonville, Tampa and Lakeland. Elvis takes the stage for three concerts in Lakeland on April 27 and 28. Reviews of the concerts appeared in local papers with accolades like, “They squirmed in their red seats and the nervier ones stormed the stage (ringed by security men and Elvis’ personal bodyguard) to get one of the more than a dozen scarves Elvis handed out during his little-more-than-an-hour performance. A few of them would go home with lips that would be unwashed for the rest of their lives” in the Sentinel Star and “...For the most part it seemed the crowd was more excited over seeing the legendary superstar than were their counterparts Sunday afternoon. Like past audiences, they screamed and shouted when Elvis gave away scarves and kissed several female spectators, but then one girl threw her white hat onstage. Picking it up, Elvis told the girl to come to the edge of the stage where he gave her the hat back along with a scarf and a kiss. But the incident started something and before the night was over Elvis had been bombarded with a teddy bear, a bra, a pair of women’s panties (an item he placed over the head of bass singer J.D. Summers) and a couple of pocketbooks... At one point Elvis walked to the rear of the stage to give a scarf to one of the girls standing by the railing. The girl, however, had more than just a scarf in mind as she grabbed Presley’s wrist pulling him off-balance. Presley remained calm and to show there were no hard feelings, gave her a kiss. At concert’s end female admirers rushed to the edge of stage to get closer and to perhaps even touch their idol, crushing security guards and spectators alike in the process” in the Lakeland Ledger. Offered is a collection of six (6) color snapshots, each containing a handwritten date on the reverse of “4/27/75” on three and “4/28/75” on the other three. Each photo measures 3 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches (8.89 x 11.43 cm) with one smaller measuring 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches (8.89 x 8.89 cm) and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The photos are in excellent condition with two exhibiting fading to the color from exposure to light.
