On October 21, 1976, Elvis entered the stage at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan wearing his Arabian—also known as King (or Ace) of Spades—jumpsuit to an overwhelming enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. The evening grossed $85,000 from a crowd of 8,000, achieving a record dollar intake for Kalamazoo entertainment. The Kalamazoo Gazette reported on the show the following day and described it as “Let there be no doubt: Elvis is a heavyweight in the entertainment field. And for most of an overflow crowd at Kalamazoo’s Wings Stadium Thursday night, that old (well, all right, just middle-aged) Presley magic made what they had gone through to see him well worth the effort. The 41-year-old entertainer rocked his way through an hour-long performance that left many of his fans of all ages breathless at best, and totally drained of emotion in more than a few cases. Along the way, Elvis demonstrated that: 1) He has tremendous personal impact, despite the fact that he hasn’t had what one could call a real hit in some time. 2) The Presley voice, while perhaps not encompassing the extreme range it once did, still has plenty of “ooomph”. 3) The years (and pounds) are catching up to him. Not that many people seemed to care. Those fans who as teens 20 years ago used to joke about “middle-age spread” now prefer to think of it as ‘not getting older, just getting better.’” Offered is a group of five (5) Polaroid photos of Elvis on stage during this performance along with a souvenir folio and button. Each of the Polaroids, capturing Elvis in his full glory, measure 3 1/4 by 4 inches (8.25 x 10.16 cm), the souvenir folio measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm), and the button measures 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in diameter. This wonderful collection from that electric evening is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The souvenir folio has minor edge wear, the button has minor dents on the reverse which does not impact the front image, and the photos, with some residue on the reverse of two, are in excellent condition overall.
