Following record-setting shows at the Sahara Tahoe and Las Vegas Hilton, Elvis embarked on an almost 2-week tour that took him to 12 cities, including Cincinnati, Ohio on November 11, 1971 where he performed at the Cincinnati Gardens. Elvis wore his black fireworks jumpsuit and was introduced by comedian Jackie Kahane before entering to the theme from 2001. His performance was described in The Cincinnati Enquirer as “It was rip ‘em up, tear ‘em up, give ‘em hell Elvis night at Cincinnati Gardens Thursday as well over 13,000 jammed the hall to be floored by King Elvis. And floor them he did. It took no more than a casual stroll onto the stage to the strains of ‘Space Odyssey’ and Elvis had them wailing, shrieking, sobbing and squealing his name. There were more hysterical women than in a B-grade prison movie. The men weren’t doing too badly, either. The full house - amazingly well-behaved ... Elvis appeared and hysteria erupted. From the moment he entered the hall to the moment he left, the air was supercharged - with enough flashbulbs exploding to give the effect of a dozen strobes.” Offered are five (5) photos snapped from the front row of that concert on November 11. So close was the photographer that the faces of the police officers working the stage security are clearly visible. The photos are printed on paper with “A Kodak Paper” imprinted on the back, which Kodak stopped using in early 1972, indicating these photos were processed and printed no later than that. These up-close vantage photos each measure 5 by 3 1/2 inches (12.7 x 8.89 cm) and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The photos present with no defects save for two small pinholes in the border of two. Near Mint to Mint condition.
