In 1969 and into the 1970s Elvis was known to refer to his band as “TCB” which stood for “Taking Care of Business.” The acronym became Elvis’ slogan and was often accompanied by a lightning bolt which had the further meaning of taking care of business “in a flash.” This personal motto was favored and used frequently by Elvis, who utilized the acronym on everything from sunglasses, necklaces, jackets, identification cards, stationery all the way to having it painted on the tail of his jet. Offered is a pristine example of Elvis’ personal stationery used at Graceland. It features a gold embossed “TCB” and lightning bolt in the upper left corner next to the large gold “Taking Care of Business” motto, with Elvis’ name appearing in gold beneath the logo. The single sheet of unused stationery comes with a matching envelope with the same title and the return address of Elvis Presley Enterprises, 3764 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, Tennessee 38116 in the upper left corner. While this style embossed stationery was used by various members of Elvis’ circle, to have the personalized Elvis embossed version is a rarity. The letterhead measures 10 7/16 by 7 1/8 inches (26.51 x 18.09 cm), the envelope measures 3 7/8 by 7 7/16 inches (9.84 x 18.89 cm) and the pair are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

Both pieces present with little wear and just a touch of toning. Near Mint condition.
