This pair of promotional scarves is the product of Colonel Parker’s marketing prowess when it came to every last detail of the Elvis Presley concert experience. Identical to the scarves Elvis used on stage, these scarves could be purchased at any of the gauntlet of souvenir stands that the faithful had to pass on their way in or out. The more elaborate gold scarf dates from the 1970 Summer Festival at the International Hotel, and is replete with four Elvis headshots, the marquee-inspired “ELVIS” in the center and the RCA and International logos. The accompanying purple scarf from the Hilton days portrays the later, evolved form with the simple “Elvis Presley” facsimile signature and the hotel’s logo. Two fond reminders of the promotional genius of Colonel Parker. The purple scarf measures 34 1/2 by 34 1/2 inches (87.63 x 87.63 cm) and the yellow scarf measures 26 by 27 1/2 inches (66.04 x 69.85 cm). Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The purple Hilton scarf shows some mild discoloration around the edges and the storage folds, but remains in very clean condition, with bright white Hilton logo and Elvis facsimile signature. Excellent condition. The yellow scarf is free of major defects with only one area of staining and presents in excellent condition.
