The silky-feeling nylon Munsingwear pajamas was Elvis’ preferred brand of sleepwear and offered is a navy blue pajama top with three white button front closure, and white trim around the collar, front, pocket and cuffs. The shirt’s collar tag reads “Munsingwear -tricolon- 100% antron nylon run proof -M-.” The pajama top is offered with a letter from Patti Parry that states: “I Patti Parry was the only ‘female member’ of Elvis’ Memphis mafia. I was Elvis’ friend and he often referred to me as ‘little sister.’ I often styled his hair as his hairdresser. Styling it for the Aloha from Hawaii special, but more importantly I was lucky enough to be considered his friend. This dark blue silk like pajama top with contrasting piping labeled Munsingwear was owned and worn by Elvis. Elvis gave me this pajama top along with a kaftan when I was stayed [sic] overnight at his home in LA. I’ve owned it since that time.” The letter is signed “Patti Parry T.L.C.” Patti Parry met Elvis for the first time at the tender age of 17, when she ran into him on Santa Monica Boulevard. Patti was in beauty school at the time with Larry Geller. When she met Elvis, the two immediately hit it off and she became one of the few women to spend time with the entourage in Los Angeles. Elvis treated her like a little sister and would often introduce her as part of the family. Theirs was a special brother-and-sister relationship making this gift especially personal. The kaftan she mentioned was sold in a previous auction. The giving of this more intimate favorite sleepwear brand to such a close friend makes this an exceptional example. The pajama top is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

There is one moderately sized stain on the lower left front, but it is hardly noticeable on the dark fabric. Near Mint condition.
