Elvis did not only purchase diamond rings for himself, but he loved to gift jewelry to those close to him. Elvis admired certain styles and stones and when he discovered a design he liked, he would often gravitate towards that form over and over. Offered is a beautiful 14-karat yellow gold and diamond ring created in a feminine openwork design topped by a large cluster of diamonds. This example was gifted to close friend Janelle McComb. Janelle and her husband Roy were long-time friends of the Presleys and had known Elvis since he was a boy. Janelle became director of the Elvis Presley Foundation and was pivotal in turning the Presley home in Tupelo into the museum it is today. This lovely ring, with 27 clustered diamonds, measuring approximately 2.8 mm to 3.6 mm and weighing approximately 2 carats, has a total weight of approximately 10 grams. A ring of similar design was given to Leilani Parker, wife of Ed Parker, by Elvis. This ring, gifted to Janelle, comes with a certificate of authenticity on “Harry Levitch Diamond Specialists Jewelers” letterhead, dated April 6, 1985, that reads:

We have examined a ladys ring as described below and are pleased to confirm that this ring was purchased from us by Elvis Presley. We describe the ring as follows: Ladys flame type ring of 14kt yellow gold with high polished finish and a cluster of 27 beautiful white VS1 quality round brilliant cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately two carats (gauged but not weighed). The value of this ring on this date’s market is approximately $4,200.00. This value of course, is based on gold and diamonds but a compensating factor must be considered in that Elvis Presley gave the ring to a dear friend and this was a personal purchase by him. The ring was given to, and is now in the property of Mrs. Roy McComb of ... Tupelo, Mississippi. We are pleased to render this service for a possession purchased by our former customer and good friend, Elvis Presley.

The ring also comes with a 2019 appraisal of the ring and Janelle McComb’s business card. This dazzling diamond ring, size 8.5, is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The ring presents with moderate wear. Near Mint condition.
