In early 1957, Elvis’ budding career was in full swing, having appeared on television several times and completed filming of his second movie, Loving You. Offered is a candid black-and-white photo of Elvis in black shirt and trousers standing and smiling, a photo that doesn't seem to have surfaced before. Despite Elvis being one of the most photographed celebrities of all time, candid early snapshots of Elvis that have never been seen remain rather elusive. This photo may well fall squarely into that category. The trees in the background with their full leaf covers indicate that this image was snapped likely during the spring or summer, based on Elvis' look it could be 1957. This candid image of the young superstar gazing directly at the camera is a stunning portrait of a happy young man. The photo measures 3 5/8 by 2 inches (9.20 x 5.08 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The photo appears to have been trimmed to its current size, and its surface has a moderate amount of creasing. There is a section of paper loss at the bottom. Very Good condition.
