February 23, 1970 was the closing night of Elvis’ four-week winter engagement at the International hotel. This particular concert that evening ran until 3 a.m. and is arguably one of Elvis’ finest performances. This successful engagement resulted in the release of the LP On Stage—February 1970. In 2006, Graceland Records released a CD entitled Elvis: Closing Night, Las Vegas, February 23, 1970 that contains tracks recorded live at the International hotel that night. It includes “Long Tall Sally,” “Hound Dog, “Love Me Tender,” “C. C. Rider,” and 13 more tracks, one of special note being “Blueberry Hill,” which was an impromptu medley on the piano at the end of that late-night live performance. The cover image for this release is the same as on this period poster: a close-up headshot of Elvis in the white brocade jumpsuit singing into a microphone with a ring finger full of bling. This period black-and-white poster is inscribed on the front in the lower left in black marker, “To Dean Elvis Presley.” The poster also contains its original facsimile “Thanks Elvis” signature in the lower left. This personally inscribed poster measures 28 by 22 inches (71.12 x 55.88 cm) and contains the printed “All Rights Reserved / All Star Shows” in the lower right corner. This wonderful period poster, on thicker stock, is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster is in excellent condition overall with the bottom reinforced with a one-inch paper strip along the back bottom edge. The poster exhibits only minor wear to the edges and creases that do not impact the stunning visual appeal.
