In this musical film, Elvis plays the role of Scott Hayward, a young man who is heir to an oil fortune and goes undercover as a waterskiing instructor in order to see if he can win women’s affection as himself rather than as a millionaire. He is fortunate enough to eventually steal the heart of his love interest as the lowly waterskiing instructor. Clambake was Elvis’ 25th movie and was released in December 1967. The campy flick opened to mixed reviews since the film followed the typical Elvis formula at a time (the late ‘60s) when generational attitudes and morals were making a major shift following the “Summer of Love.” Ironically, this was Elvis’ last movie as a single man because immediately following filming, Elvis married Priscilla on May 1, 1967, in Las Vegas. The offered three-sheet poster contains three vignettes of Elvis surrounded by lovely ladies set against a bright, bold yellow background, making for a true visual splash. The poster, which is stored folded, measures approximately 81 by 41 inches (205.74 by 104.14 cm) when assembled and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster has several areas of paper loss and staining. There is some moderate edge wear, including folds and staple holes. Excellent condition.
