A remake of the original 1937 film, Kid Galahad stars Elvis Presley as Walter Gulick, a broke young man recently discharged from the Army who takes up boxing to earn a living. Produced by Mirisch Company and distributed by United Artists in August 1962, Kid Galahad reached number nine at the box office, with the LP soundtrack of six songs issued to coincide with the film’s release. The offered half sheet movie poster promotes all that is Elvis, showing him in a romantic pose with his female co-star (in this case Joan Blackman) and strumming his guitar (to make sure that no one misses that this isn’t just a boxing picture). Although it could benefit from a restorer’s touch, this is a nice example from one of Elvis’ most beloved films. The poster measures approximately 22 by 28 inches (55.88 by 71.12 cm). Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits a number of defects including several stains, small tears with tape repairs, age toning and fold marks. In overall very good condition.
