The Armed Forces Radio & Television Service was established in 1942 by the War Department to broadcast popular American radio and television to troops, government employees and families stationed overseas. It is still in operation today under the name American Forces Network, and over the years many stars have rallied to support U.S. efforts abroad. The offered oversized 16-inch LP with green and white label reads, “Armed Forces Radio & Television Service Station Library.” Side one includes Elvis Presley's 1957 single “All Shook Up” and its B-side “That's When Your Heartache Begins,” which were released together on March 22, 1957. On the same side are also songs by the Jordanaires, “Walk Away” and “Ridin' for a Fall.” The reverse side features songs by Tab Hunter, Eddie Cochran and The Diamonds. The date “5-2-57” is etched into the dead wax along with the matrix number information. The record measures 16 inches (40.65 cm) in diameter and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
