As Elvis mania swept the nation, Elvis and Colonel Parker tried to make sure that the newsstands could keep up with the constant demand for new content from the ever-growing fan base. The offered publication, the Official Elvis Presley Album, copyrighted in 1956, contains features like “100 New Presley Pictures,” “The Loves of Elvis Presley,” and “What Made Elvis Sing?” which are trumpeted on the cover of the publication. The Official Elvis Presley Album was released for the king’s ransom of $1 in 1956, but with the claim of containing Elvis Presley’s life story, surely a price any fan was willing to pay. This early Elvis Presley promotional magazine is rarely seen in such exemplary condition. The magazine measures 11 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches (28.58 x 21.59 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The magazine presents with only one small area of paper loss on the cover. Excellent condition.
