The June 11, 1972 Elvis performance at Madison Square Garden in New York was added when his first three shows sold out immediately, a first in Madison Square Garden history, which prompted the New York Times to describe the Elvis phenomenon as “Like a Prince from Another Planet.” Offered are two ticket stubs and nine snapshots from this historic show. The ticket stubs measure 2 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches (5.71 x 6.35 cm), the snapshots each measure 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches (8.89 x 8.89 cm) and have the developing date of “OCT 73” printed along the border. In those days, it was quite common for film to be around for a good while before you drove it over to the Fotomat booth in the parking lot of the A&P to get your prints made. Also included are a souvenir “Tour Photo Album,” a souvenir pennant that measures 12 by 30 inches (30.48 x 76.2 cm), a poster featuring Elvis in his “Cisco Kid” jumpsuit that measures 28 by 22 inches (71.12 x 55.88 cm) and large number of newspaper clippings of advertisements for the show or reviews of the show. This incredible collection that represents the magnitude of Elvis’ influence in history is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The ticket stubs show signs of wear, and the photos are clean save for small remnants of tape along the borders. Excellent condition overall.
