Elvis flew to Las Vegas from Los Angeles on February 24, 1969, and two days later, February 26, Elvis and the Colonel set up a ceremonial contract signing on the construction site of the International Hotel for his upcoming concert engagement. The actual contract would be signed on April 15. Offered is an Elvis-signed Fabulous Flamingo Hotel logo envelope that is accompanied by a note from the woman who originally obtained the autograph from Elvis. She states that it was signed at the Flamingo Hotel on February 25, 1969, when “My friend along with her parents were on a three city tour of Las Vegas, Honolulu and San Francisco. We were having dinner at the Flamingo when the waitress came in and said that Elvis was in the next dining room signing autographs so we went and got one.” It was typical of the Colonel to capitalize on Elvis’ appearance and for Elvis, in his generous spirit, to sign autographs instead of eating. The envelope with huge, dark, bold signature, measures 3 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches (8.89 x 16.51 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The envelope shows signs of expected use with mild age-related toning and some wrinkling on the edges, none of which affects the dark, felt-tip signature of Elvis.
