The Sun 45s were pressed by Plastic Products, Inc of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sun would return any unusable pressings, which was common since Plastic Products recycled old pressings and the process was not without defective pressings. In November of 1955 RCA Victor purchased the master records from Sun. It released “Mystery Train” first in November 1955, which was the last to be released by Sun, and then released the others in December of 1955. Offered is a set of three Sun 45 RPM records including 209 “That’s All Right,” 217 “I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone” (SAMPLE) and 223 “Mystery Train.” The 209 and 217 are “Memphis Pressings,” as evidenced by the “delta” or “push” marks on the labels, three small indentations of the paper where the record stamper left indentations on the record itself when it was pressed at Plastic Products, Inc., where Sun had records made in Memphis. This detail usually indicates that the record is of an earlier vintage because Plastic Products didn’t have a huge capacity. When Elvis’ singles started selling big, Sam Phillips also had them pressed at other pressing plants in California and Pennsylvania. Included is one vintage Sun paper sleeve, though this is of a later vintage, by a few years, than the records themselves. The three 45s each measure 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

This is a mid-grade grouping with many defects, including moderate scuffing and scratches, with label defects and a small chip on the inner ring of the 209. VG condition overall, perhaps lesser.
