Grammy awards are issued by The Recording Academy (also known as the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) to honor and recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. Scotty Moore certainly made monumental contributions to the music industry with Elvis and throughout his lifetime. Offered are four framed (4) awards to Scotty Moore, including a National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences paper recognition certificate which reads, “Be it known that ‘That’s All Right’ / Elvis Presley / Sun Records, 1954 / Has been elected to the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame / Honoring recordings of lasting, qualitative or historical significance / In the year 1998 and that Scotty Moore / Has been awarded this certificate as Guitarist.” The additional three paper certificate awards are for “‘Hound Dog’ / Elvis Presley / RCA Victor, 1956,” “‘Heartbreak Hotel’ / Elvis Presley / RCA Victor, 1956,” and “‘Don’t Be Cruel’ / Elvis Presley / RCA Victor, 1956.” The four certificates, each measuring 15 1/4 by 12 1/4 by 1/2 inch (38.73 x 31.11 x 1.27 cm), emanate directly from the estate of Scotty Moore and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
All four certificates are in Excellent condition overall.
