From the Estate of Scotty Moore

Scotty Moore is known for being the pioneer of rockabilly guitar and is famous for his time with Elvis. Scotty’s first guitar was a Gibson ES-295, and he remained loyal to Gibson his entire life and career. He was once quoted as saying, “The streamlined Fender just didn’t feel right when I played it. It probably had something to do with its shape. The Gibson was more feminine. I could make out with the Gibson. I couldn’t get it on with a Fender.” This love affair made Scotty synonymous with the Gibson brand. The offered gold record recognition award has a large gold record with a picture label of Scotty Moore playing guitar that reads, “Scotty Moore / the guitarist who rocked the world / Gibson.” Beneath that, a plaque reads, “Presented to Scotty Moore / The original rock and roll guitar player / In appreciation for 50 years of rocking on Gibson guitars. From Henry Juszkiewicz and all your friends at Gibson Guitar.” The framed display with back paper background measures 21 by 17 by 1 inch (53.34 x 43.18 x 2.54 cm). This recognition, emanating directly from the estate of Scotty Moore, is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The recognition award is in excellent condition overall.
