From the Estate of Scotty Moore

In addition to being one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Scotty Moore has also made significant contributions to the American music scene and popular culture. Scotty’s talents and gifts to the city of Memphis were recognized in 2004 at the inaugural Memphis Heroes Awards at which Scotty was honored. Offered are a group of four “Memphis” awards and trophies that include: the oval glass “1999 Beale Street Walk of Fame” award honoring Scotty Moore as the “Brass Note Recipient” on October 15, 1998 which measures 10 1/4 by 3 by 4 inches (26.03 x 7.63 x 10.16 cm); the curved “Recording Academy Memphis Chapter Heroes Award 2004” presented to Scotty Moore “For Your Contributions to America's Music and Popular Culture” measuring 14 3/4 by 3 1/2 by 5 15/16 inches (37.46 x 8.89 x 15.08 cm); the modern bronze-toned sculptural “University of Memphis Distinguished Achievement Award In Memory of Elvis Presley” presented to Scotty Moore in 2002, which measures 12 3/16 by 3 by 4 5/8 inches (30.95 x 7.63 x 11.74 cm); and the fun sculpted vintage microphone in hand on wooded base award from “Memphis Music Hall of Fame” recognizing Scotty Moore as a 2015 Inductee, which measures 13 3/8 by 4 by 4 inches (33.97 x 10.16 x 10.16 cm). In the early 1990s, Scotty Moore returned to Memphis and began recording again and performing with many other great contemporary guitarists. The return was well received and Scotty was once again honored for his gifts to the music industry, as evidenced by the offered group of awards. These awards, emanating directly from the Estate of Scotty Moore, are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The trophy presents with few defects. Near Mint condition.
