From the Estate of Scotty Moore

Scotty Moore performed with Elvis early in Elvis’ career, starting in 1954 and continuing until 1958. Scotty played guitar and was recognized as one of the top 100 greatest guitarists by Rolling Stone magazine in 2011. Scotty was also recognized by various Hall of Fame organizations for his talents and contributions, and offered are a group of four awards issued to Scotty Moore. Included in this significant collection are: the modern “Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum” award recognizing Scotty Moore as a “2007 Inductee” and measuring 10 7/16 by 4 3/4 by 6 1/2 inches (26.51 x 12.06 x 16.51 cm); the carved wooden “National Thumb Pickers Hall of Fame 2010” awarded to Scotty Moore as “Living Thumb Picker” which measures 9 1/8 by 4 3/4 by 5 3/8 inches (23.17 x 12.06 x 13.65 cm); the artistically carved wood NGA 1999 award for “Lifetime Achievement” measuring 8 by 4 5/8 by 7 1/2 inches (20.32 x 11.74 x 19.05 cm); and the contemporary glass award presented to Scotty Moore (with a top disc containing his image) “for an outstanding performance at the ‘Party of the Century’ Amsterdam, December the 18th, 1999” which measures 7 1/4 by 4 9/16 by 8 inches (18.41 x 11.58 x 20.32 cm). Legions of contemporary guitarists like Jeff Beck and Keith Richards have had the honor of playing with Scotty after growing up idolizing him, and this collection confirms the numerous and considerable contributions Scotty made over the years to the music industry. The four awards, emanating directly from the estate of Scotty Moore, are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
