From the Estate of Scotty Moore

The Gibson Guitar Company was founded by Orville H. Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1896. Each year an awards ceremony in his name is held the day before the Grammy Awards to honor the world’s best guitarists. In 2002, the ceremony was held at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, and Scotty Moore was presented with the offered award for lifetime achievement. After the trophies were distributed, Moore, along with a few others, performed “Heartbreak Hotel” and “I’ve Got my Mojo Working.” The lifetime achievement award given to Scotty that day was well deserved for the impact Scotty had on the music industry as one of the all-time most influential guitarists. This etched glass on wooden base award has a gold-toned plaque on the base that recognizes Scotty Moore as the 2002 Lifetime Achievement recipient. The award, emanating directly from the Estate of Scotty Moore, measures 14 by 4 1/16 by 11 1/2 inches (35.56 x 10.31 x 29.21 cm), and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The trophy presents with few defects. Near Mint condition.
