From the Bill Porter Collection

The offered "Avastor HDX" hard drive contains six complete (or near complete) Elvis Presley concerts at the Las Vegas International/Hilton Hotel between 1970 and 1973. All the recordings were done from the sound board by Elvis' concert sound engineer, Bill Porter. While this is not the original source material (those would have been reel to reels, which are most likley lost to the ages) the offered recordings were remastered after being transferred to their current digital format, both procedures overseen by Bill Porter himself. Also included on the drive are the audio software settings and levels files. Also being sold with the physical and digital items offered here are all of the consignor’s tangible rights in the physical materials and all of the consignor’s intellectual property rights in the recording.

Bill Porter's expertise was unrivalled in the recording and concert industry, and Elvis kept him on the road with him for a good portion of the 1970s because Bill was the sound engineer he trusted most to man the sound board. The recordings on the offered hard drive have benefitted immensely from Bill's acumen--once they start playing, it's as if you're transported to The International Showroom, sitting center stage to take in Elvis Presley in his absolute prime. The small samples provided on our website will give you enough of a taste to appreciate the quality of these recordings.
