Colonel Parker had no shortage of ideas for advertising his star client and was open to trying every conceivable shape and size for Elvis tour promotional pieces. The offered rare extra-large paper banner may represent the pinnacle of experimentation with both shape and size, with its large central image of Elvis wearing his Aqua Blue Vine jumpsuit, clean graphic elements and black heraldic shaped background. The poster was created to promote Elvis’ December 2-12, 1976 run at the Las Vegas Hilton. That 15th “season” would end up being Elvis’ last set of concerts at the legendary theater of the former International Hotel. These posters adorned any blank surface in the hotel that the Colonel’s promotional staff saw fit to cover. The offered example is uncut and was likely a printer’s proof copy made for approval before production began. Final versions were cut into the heraldic shape, were smaller than the offered banner and typically contained the Hilton “H” logo and sometimes other text. This incredible banner measures 77 by 52 1/2 inches (195.58 x 133.35 cm), is stored rolled and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The massive banner presents with near pristine colors but does have wrinkling, edge wear with some paper loss and tears, and some mild staining. Excellent condition.
