Tickle Me was Elvis’ only film with Allied Artists and made over $5 million at the box office, saving the production company from bankruptcy while also helping to relieve Elvis of an IRS debt. The movie was shot in just over 20 days and the soundtrack was made up of previously recorded, unpublished songs. Elvis won the Laurel Award for Best Male Actor in a Musical for his role in the film. Offered is a rare, full-color, still-sealed with original feathers intact, promotional package for the movie. The promo is offered with a movie herald from the West 16 Drive-In Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina that measures approximately 12 3/8 by 8 3/4 inches (31.43 x 22.22 cm), a Danish program that measures approximately 6 1/4 by 4 3/4 inches (15.87 x 12.06 cm), an Icelandic program that measures approximately 8 1/4 by 4 inches (20.95 x 10.16 cm) and five black-and-white movie stills that each measure between 7 3/8 by 10 1/8 inches (20 x 25.71 cm) and 8 by 10 1/8 inches (20.32 x 25.71 cm). This incredible Tickle Me ephemera collection is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The brochure and feathers for the teaser are intact, although the original plastic has been opened and re-taped. Near Mint condition. The other pieces present with minor wear (the herald showing a bit more) and are in Excellent condition overall.
