The album Elvis In Concert was released in October 1977, two months after Elvis’ death and in conjunction with the television special of the same name. The recordings were made during two concerts in Omaha, Nebraska and Rapid City, South Dakota, on June 19 and 21, with the intent to produce a TV special, but it was put on hold and after Elvis’ passing it was decided to air them on CBS as a tribute special. The album made it to number 5 on the Billboard charts and was certified both gold and platinum on October 14, 1977, and three times platinum in August 2002 by RIAA. The offered award contains a plaque mounted beneath the platinum-colored record that reads “Presented to ELVIS PRESLEY to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 copies of the RCA RECORDS long-playing record album 'ELVIS IN CONCERT’.” This framed display features a platinum-toned record above the platinum-colored plaque with small image of the album cover, all mounted on a gray background. The framed award measures 21 by 17 inches (53.34 x 43.18 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The frame of the award exhibits moderate to heavy wear, though the central artwork remains unsullied. Excellent condition.
