This framed RIAA Certified Sales Award was “Presented to RCA Records to Commemorate the Sale of More than One Million Copies of the RCA Records Single Record ‘Wear My Ring Around Your Finger’.” The award style, with gold frame and black matte background, indicates this is a late ’70s/early ’80s award—the RIAA certified the song gold on August 3, 1983. The official release date of Elvis’ new 45 “Wear My Ring Around Your Neck / Doncha’ Think It’s Time” was April 7, 1958, only 2 weeks after Elvis’ Army induction. He had recorded tracks to be released during his Army stint, and obviously both he and Colonel Parker, as well as RCA Victor, were in a hurry to release the new product to reassure the fans that Elvis wasn’t really gone, while hoping to pave a way for Elvis’ career to survive his conscription duty. The framed award measures 17 by 13 1/4 inches (43.18 x 33.66 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The award shows only minor distresses to the frame. Excellent to Mint condition.
