The fans at the Civic Center in Saginaw, Michigan were beyond elated at seeing their idol perform live the evening of April 25, 1977. The Saginaw News headline “Elvis Heats Up Saginaw Crowd” was followed with descriptions of the concert, which began at 8:30 p.m., of “Falling scarves, embattled police, screaming women, popping flash bulbs and a sneering singer an Elvis Presley concert make” and “Elvis still turns them on,” “He still has that animal magic, that power that with a single swivel or smirk or glare can elicit screams of ‘Oh Elllll-vis. We love you!” and “His sense of humor sparkles.” Even at 42, Elvis was still wowing listeners and dazzling fans. At that evening’s performance, Felton Jarvis recorded “If You Love Me” for Elvis’ upcoming Moody Blue album. The offered pay stub from RCA was likely payment for that recording, as the typed description notes “4/25/77 9-10 PM / Elvis Presley Saginaw MI” with an invoice date of 5/30/77 in the amount of $181.50. The stub is numbered in red “57120” for the RCA Records / 1133 Avenue of the Americas, New York, N.Y. check register. The check stub, with blank back, measures 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches (8.89 x 21.59 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The payment stub is in excellent condition overall with absolutely no visible defects.
