Before moving to Graceland in 1957, Elvis lived with his parents on Audubon Drive for a year beginning on March 1956 during a busy time for Elvis’ rise to stardom. 1956 was the year that put Elvis on the map and when he became a nationwide singing sensation. As with any new celebrity, young fans flocked to catch glimpses of the handsome entertainer and no place was off limits, especially his home, where eager fans knew they might catch him. Offered is a color slide that captures a group of excited young fans surrounding Elvis as he stands at the fence of his home on Audubon Drive wearing his captain’s hat. The color negative is marked on the paper slide frame “Processed by TriColor Laboratories Hollywood 27” in red at the top and the bottom of the front. The image is clear and bright and captures the 1950s in all its glory in the clothing and haircuts of the young Elvis admirers. The slide measures 2 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches (6.98 x 6.98 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The negative is in excellent condition overall.
