The offered Samuel Goldwyn Studio’s 33 1/3 RPM single sided acetate contains the entire nearly 7-minute title song sequence from the Elvis Presley film Frankie and Johnny. The acetate is dated May 19, 1965—several songs were overdubbed that day for recordings that had been done during the previous week at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. This acetate, however, contains the audio for the elaborate stage show piece within the film, missing only the crowd clapping sound effects at the very end. In the film, this sequence starts right after a scene with Elvis "rehearsing" the song. The handwritten label indicates the production number as “8900” and the title as “1. Frankie & Johnny.” Distributed by United Artists in March 1966, Frankie and Johnny stars Elvis as Johnny, a riverboat singer caught between his girlfriend’s ire and the redhead that brings luck to his gambling obsession. The acetate measures approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) in diameter and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The acetate presents in playable condition, with only a few minor distresses. Excellent to Mint condition.
