Jeane Dixon, born Lydia Emma Pinckert to German immigrant, Roman Catholic parents, was a self-proclaimed psychic and astrologer who became famous for some of her better known predictions, her syndicated newspaper astrology column and her books, which included My Life and Prophecies. Jeane Dixon was said to have been given a crystal ball by a fortune teller as a young girl and told that she would see great things. Jeane, a devout Catholic, believed that she was provided her revelations from God. She became a household name with her syndicated astrology column and distinguished clients like Nancy Reagan. Jeane wrote several books, with My Life and Prophecies originally published in 1969, and as a staunch believer in prophecy and faith, Elvis undoubtedly picked up a copy to read. Offered is Elvis’ own copy of this tome that comes with a letter from Patsy Presley, on “Vernon Presley” TCB letterhead, that reads, “This book ‘My Life and Prophecies’ by Jeane Dixon belonged to Elvis Presley and was one of many such books that Elvis enjoyed reading. I received this book after Elvis’ death. His father gave it to me. Thanks, Patsy Presley.” The hardcover book with blue binding measures 8 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches (21.59 x 14.60 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The cover of the book shows signs of moderate use, including scuffing and creases. Excellent condition.
