Promotional photos were shot of Elvis throughout his career beginning with the more famous William Speer images. The photos were often printed with an Elvis signature and stamped on the back with names of specific Elvis movies. Promotion photos were used for a plethora of advertising, including on posters, merchandising, fan giveaways, record sleeves, and much more. The offered set of four, used during 1959-1961 to promote a number of films, are rarely seen in this clean condition. While these were often stamped on the back to promote Elvis’ films, the offered group are perfectly clean and have been very well preserved. One image is from a 1959 publicity shoot, one from a promotional shoot for G.I. Blues in 1961 and the remaining two from a general publicity shoot in 1961. These early promotional photos each measure 7 by 5 inches (17.78 x 12.7 cm) and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
The photos are in pristine, Near Mint to Mint condition.
