Elvis’ weekly Hayride shows were the venue where Colonel Parker first saw Elvis perform and were instrumental in the development of Elvis’ early stage presence. It was Elvis’ last appearance on the Louisiana Hayride show in December of 1956 when announcer Horace Logan first spoke the now-famous phrase, “Elvis has left the building.” Elvis’ performances on the Louisiana Hayride were pivotal to catapulting his career, and ephemera from those early days is extremely difficult to obtain, making the offered souvenir picture album concert program exceptionally rare. The program has a green cover with drawn image of a singing guitar player, multiple black-and-white pages of stars of the Grand Ole Opry, Big D Jamboree, Louisiana Hayride, Ozark Jubilee and more with over two dozen images of these musicians including Johnny Cash, Pat Boone, Carl Perkins, Slim Whitman, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Minnie Pearl, Jim Reeves, Hank Snow and Elvis. Elvis is pictured on the back cover and also in an interior image with Sherry Davis, the Big D Jamboree singer. The program, measuring 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm), is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The program presents with minor wear and scuffing. Excellent to Mint condition.
1956 Concert Program of “Grand Ole Opry” and “Louisiana Hayride” Stars Including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins – Extremely Rare
