Producer Hal Wallis wanted to show what life was like for servicemen when they returned so he cast Elvis in Blue Hawaii, a musical romantic comedy, as Chadwick Gates, a man just returning from the Army to his home in Hawaii. In the film, Elvis perfects the formula that fans adored with his on-screen persona and this was the first of several movies that Elvis filmed on location in the tropical paradise. The movie was released by Paramount in November of 1961, reached number two on the Variety box office charts and was the 10th top-grossing film of 1961, earning over $5 million. The movie also received the fourth-place Laurel Award for Best Musical of 1961. The soundtrack for Blue Hawaii spent 20 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard pop album charts and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Soundtrack from a Motion Picture in 1961. The offered colorful British quad poster features Elvis and his ukulele amid a bevy of bathing suit-clad beauties also strumming and dancing along. The poster measures 30 by 40 inches (76.2 x 101.6 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The poster exhibits mild age toning, several pinholes, areas of staining, and both upper corners and several areas on the reverse have been reinforced with tape to improve tears and small areas of paper loss. Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
