Click play button at right to hear Larry Geller describing how he received this TCB necklace from Elvis.

In October 1970, Elvis ordered 22 custom-made “TCB” necklaces from Ableser Fine Diamonds and Jewelry in Beverly Hills. This was Elvis’ first order for these specially made necklaces and the start of Elvis’ tradition and trademark. Elvis would give these personal and exclusive necklaces to those close to him. The offered gold TCB necklace is one that Elvis gifted to Larry Geller, who was hired by Elvis in 1964 on the film Roustabout as his hair stylist. Geller left his salon, Sebring International, which was the stylist for the stars, to accompany Elvis and style his hair for his movies, concert performances and more, from that point forward. Since he was also a spiritual advisor, Larry became more than simply Elvis’ stylist, but his friend and confidant. This 14-karat yellow gold TCB pendant with lightning bolt measures 1 15/16 inches (4.92 cm) in length and is suspended from a gold rope chain that measures 27 inches (68.58 cm) in length with a total weight of 17 grams and is designed to slip over the head without a clasp. The necklace includes a letter from Larry Geller, dated March 25, 2001 which states, “This TCB necklace was given to me by Elvis Presley in August of 1972. It was his own, and he took it off his neck and placed it around my neck. This was one of the first TCB’s of the original batch, of which very few exist today. As is commonly known, I worked for Elvis for many years as his personal hairstylist, travelling with him, working on ten movies, innumerable concert appearances and TV shows, often staying at Graceland. More important, however, was our personal spiritual connection and our shared search for meaning in our lives. When Elvis died, he was clutching to his chest a book I had given him several hours before. The last time I did his hair was August 17, 1977, for his funeral.” This important TCB necklace holds great significance and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The necklace presents with few major defects. Near Mint condition.
