While filming for his 1963 musical comedy, Fun in Acapulco, in which Elvis starred as Mike Windgren, took place on site in Acapulco, Elvis remained in Los Angeles, where all of his scenes were shot in a Hollywood studio. An Elvis double was used to film the shots that had to be done on location, as Elvis was not authorized to be in Mexico because of an earlier misunderstanding involving various Mexican politicians. Acetates are scarce by nature, normally created for artists, producers or others involved in the recording process. To find an offering of seven acetates for one film is rare, indeed. The songs present on the offered acetates were recorded in the following order during sessions on January 22-23, 1963, at Radio Recorders Studio B in Hollywood, California: “Bossa Nova Baby” (record version); “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here” (record version); “Mexico” (record version); “The Bullfighter Was a Lady” (record version); “The Bullfighter was a Lady” (film version); “I Think I’m Gonna Like it Here” (film version); “Marguerita” (record version); “Vino Dinero Y Amor” (“Boat Version” from film, by vocal group “The Amigos”); “Vino Dinero Y Amor” (“Bridge to Club Version” from film, by vocal group “The Amigos”); “El Toro” (record version); “You Can’t Say No in Acapulco” (record version); “Guadalajara” (Take 1); “Malaguena” (music only, vocals were never recorded). The records measure 10 inches (25.4 cm) in diameter and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.

The records present in playable condition with minimal distresses, with just a few scuffs. VG+, with some lesser.
